(AAPL) pushing to a new level were Huntington Bancshare (HBAN), Applied Materials (AMAT), eBay, Inc. (EBAY), and Ciena Corporation (CIEN).
Apple, Inc. (AAPL) continues to attract investors and push share prices higher as the company hit yet another 52-week high on Monday, climbing as high as 353.25 before closing the day at 351.88 on trading volume that topped 17.3 million. AAPL, which designs, manufactures, and markets personal computers, mobile communication and media devices, and portable digital music players, as well as sells related software, services, peripherals, networking solutions, and third-party digital content and applications worldwide, remains well in front of its 50-day moving average of 330.29 and 200-day moving average of 285.83.
Huntington Bancshare (HBAN) climbed to a new 52-week high of 7.56 on Monday and closed the day at that price following trading volume of more than 16.5 million shares. Shares in the company, which operates as the holding company for The Huntington National Bank that provides commercial and consumer banking services, remain above their 50-day moving average of 6.82 and their 200-day moving average of 6.13.
Applied Materials (AMAT) hit a 52-week high on Monday, reaching 16.67 before closing the day at 16.39 on trading volume that exceeded 15.4 million shares. Shares in the company, which provides nanomanufacturing technology solutions for the semiconductor, flat panel display, solar, and related industries worldwide, are ahead of their 50-day moving average of 14.23 and their 200-day moving average of 12.61.
eBay Inc. (EBAY) hit a new 52-week high of 32.60 on Monday before closing the day at 32.24 on volume that surpassed 11.7 million. eBay, which provide online marketplaces for the sale of goods and services, online payments services, and online communication offerings to individuals and businesses in the United States and internationally, pushed further north of the 50-day moving average of 29.73 and their 200-day moving average of 25.25.
Ciena Corporation (CIEN) reached a new 52-week high of 27.23 on Monday before closing the day at 26.72 on volume that passed 8.5 million shares. The company, which provides communications networking equipment, software, and services that support the transport, switching, aggregation, and management of voice, video, and data traffic, is trading above its 50-day moving average of 21.40 as well as its 200-day moving average of 16.16.
