Volume Leaders Among Companies Trading on Pink Sheets: XSRAY, SCGLY, DTEGY, BAESY, CMVT

Thursday’s volume leaders on the Pink Sheets included Xstrata Plc Adr (XSRAY), Societe Generale Spo (SCGLY), Deutsche Telekom Ag Ads (DTEGY), Bae Systems Spons Ad (BAESY), and Comverse Tech Inc. (CMVT).

Xstrata Plc Adr (XSRAY) saw volume just over 10x their average, hitting more than 4.7 million shares traded on the day. Shares in the company, which operates as a diversified metals and mining company in Switzerland and internationally- primarily exploring for copper, coking coal, thermal coal, ferrochrome, nickel, vanadium, and zinc metals, as well as platinum group metals, gold, cobalt, lead, and silver deposits, closed at 4.40 on Thursday, slightly lower than their 50-day moving average of 4.45 but above their 200-day moving average of 3.63.

Societe Generale Spo (SCGLY) closed the day with volume topping 3.8 million shares on the day, well above their trading volume of 236,655. Shares in the company, which provides various financial products and services to individuals and corporate clients worldwide, closed at 13.13 on the day to remain ahead of the 50-day moving average of 11.14 as well as their 200-day moving average of 10.67.

Deutsche Telekom Ag Ads (DTEGY) hit trading volume in excess of 3.4 million on Thursday, significantly higher than their average of 452,569. The company, which provides telecommunications and information technology services in Germany and internationally, closed the day at 13.52 and remains ahead of their 50-day moving average of 13.02 and 200-day moving average of 12.90.

Bae Systems Spons Ad (BAESY), which engages in the development, delivery, and support of defense and aerospace systems in the air, on land, and at sea worldwide, shot past their average trading volume of 195,883 and ended the day with volume of 2,620,821. While shares dipped a bit to close at 22.18 on the day they are still ahead of their 50-day moving average of 21.22 and their 200-day moving average of 20.32.

Comverse Tech Inc. (CMVT) closed the day with nearly 2x their average trading volume, settling at 1,605,875 on Thursday. Shares in the company, which engages in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and support of software, systems, and related services for multimedia communication and information processing applications, closed at 6.90 on the day and still trails the 50-day moving average of 7.34 and 200-day moving average of 7.38.
