Several companies trading on the NASDAQ not only set 52-week highs on Wednesday but eclipsed all-time highs. This list included a number of prominent companies including Apple Inc. (AAPL), Adtran Inc. (ADTN), and Cypress Semiconductor (CY), Ocz Technology Group (OCZ), and Brigham Exploration (BEXP).
Apple Inc. (AAPL) continues to see their shares climb ever higher and on Wednesday they reached their all-time high of 348.60 before closing on the day at 338.84. More than 40 million shares of AAPL, which designs, manufactures, and markets personal computers, mobile communication and media devices, and portable digital music players, as well as sells related software, services, peripherals, networking solutions, and third-party digital content and applications worldwide, traded hands on Wednesday and shares remain above the 50-day moving average of 322.42 and 200-day moving average of 279.86.
Adtran Inc. (ADTN) jumped to a new all-time high on Wednesday as shares climbed to 42.65 before settling to close at 42.25 on trading volume of more than 5.6 million shares. On Tuesday the company revealed record sales of $165,329,000 for their fourth quarter, up 33% and shares in the company, which designs, manufactures, markets, and services network access solutions that enable voice, data, video, and Internet communications across wireline and wireless networks worldwide, are comfortably ahead of their 50-day moving average of 34.80 and 200-day moving average of 31.28.
Cypress Semiconductors (CY) hit a new all-time high of 21.80 on Wednesday before closing at 20.81 on with more than 5 million shares trading hands. Shares in the company, which operates as a semiconductor company in the United States and internationally, remain well ahead of their 50-day moving average of 17.56 and their 200-day moving average of 13.22.
Ocz Technology Group (OCZ) soared to a new all-time high on Wednesday as shares hit 7.87 before closing the day at 7.33 on more than 4x its average trading volume. OCZ, which designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes computer components for computing devices and systems worldwide, remains above their 50-day moving average of 4.72 and their 100-day moving average of 3.76.
Brigham Exploration (BEXP) climbed to an all-time high on Wednesday as shares in the company hit 28.80 before closing the day at 27.97. The company, which engages in the exploration, development, and production of onshore oil and natural gas reserves in the Rocky Mountains, the Gulf Coast, the Anadarko Basin, and west Texas, is still ahead of its 50-day moving average of 26.42 and 200-day moving average of 19.89.
